If you have been following my recipes for some time, you would know that I am not really a fan of deep-fried foods or deep frying. I try to limit them as much as I can, but there are days when we crave some pakoras or bhajis, especially when the weather calls for it. And this onion pakoda recipe is a favorite for such days! It’s flavorful and not spicy, and I am sure you won’t be able to stop eating it after just one or two.
I hope you try this and like it as much as I do!
Ingredients:
1 large onion, sliced as shown
2 tbsp chopped dill
4-5 curry leaves, chopped
1 tsp Kashmiri red chili powder
3/4 tsp coriander powder
1/4 tsp pepper powder
1/4 tsp ajwain seeds
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
salt to taste
3 tbsp gram flour
2 tbsp rice flour
Oil for deep frying
Method:
Mix all ingredients except gram and rice flour, then add flours, mix again, and deep fry pakodas as shown.
Fry some curry leaves in the end and garnish. Enjoy hot pakodas with ketchup or your favorite dip!
