This healthy oatmeal bowl is a nutritious option for breakfast, a snack, or even a dessert. It contains no added sugar and is made with rolled oats, cocoa powder, whole milk, cinnamon, and flaxseeds. It is topped with dates, pumpkin seeds, and almond shavings.

Feel free to experiment with different toppings such as granola, dried fruits, or a drizzle of almond butter for added variety and flavor. Enjoy it any time of day for a satisfying treat!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup of whole milk (you can do a mix of milk and water too)
  • 1 tsp flaxseed or flaxseed powder
  • 1 tbsp or more cocoa powder
  • 1/8 tsp cinnamon powder
  • Fruits and nuts of choice (I have used dates, pumpkin seeds, almonds)

Directions

  1. Cook Oatmeal: Add oats, milk, flaxseed, cocoa powder, and cinnamon to a saucepan. Cook on medium heat until the desired consistency is reached.
  2. Garnish and Serve: Add oatmeal to a bowl. Top it off with dates, pumpkin seeds, almond shavings, and a drizzle of cocoa powder. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Feel free to add your choice of toppings: fresh fruits, dried fruits, nuts, and seeds. You can also add a sweetener of your choice if necessary.
