Ingredients

  • 1 cup horse gram
  • 1 bunch red chard
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • ½ tsp mustard seeds
  • ½ tsp cumin seeds
  • green chilies to taste slit
  • ¼ tsp turmeric powder
  • salt to taste
  • lime juice as per taste

Instructions

  • Rinse and soak one cup of horse gram overnight. Drain and cook until tender.
  • Rinse and roughly chop the red chard.
  • Heat oil in a cooking pan.
  • Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds, then sauté green chilies to taste with the chopped chard, turmeric powder and salt until cooked.
  • Add the cooked horse gram, combine, and stir fry for 2-3 minutes.
  • Drizzle some lime juice on top and enjoy this healthy stir fry with your meal.
