Porridge, also known as Ganji, is a quick and healthy meal that can be easily prepared for yourself and your family. It’s perfect for breakfast and can be enjoyed with dry fruits, fresh fruits, or a green salad.
In South India, especially in suburban areas, porridge or “Ganji” or malt, is a popular choice for breakfast. The most popular type is Ragi Ganji or ragi porridge, which is made using ragi flour and often consumed for breakfast. It is nutritious, filling, and provides long-lasting energy.
Porridge can also be made using other types of millet flour. For example, in this recipe, we use organic, homemade multigrain flour made from around 30 different ingredients, including various lentils and millet.
