Curd Rice (Mosaranna)

For us South Indians, the most comforting food ever is curd rice or mosaranna(In Kannada). Curd plays a vital role in our daily diet, so much so that a meal is not considered complete without eating curd at the end of our meal. It’s like dessert for us, and no, I am not exaggerating!! Curd rice is made with curd or plain yogurt and rice and tempered with spices. It’s so mild and light on the stomach that you could have it during any time of the day. For my family, this is our regular Sunday dinner (Apart from eating curd/ yogurt every day) – it’s so mild and light that it feels like curd rice preps for our stomach for the week ahead, lol.
